brief
We were absolutely buzzing to be tasked by the team at BBC Radio 1 to create both the on-air show opener and live stage opener for the Radio 1 Dance Weekend live in Ibiza alongside the BBC Popular Music Station Sound Team.
The brief was to capture the essence and history of Ibiza within a piece and build a sense of anticipation and excitement for what was to come across the weekend. We achieved this using a combination of huge dance tracks, famous Radio 1 presenters and DJs synonymous with Ibiza, Spanish voiceover, and of course sound effects.
We created a piece that encapsulates what Ibiza is all about; sun, sea, and a massive dance party!
